October 2006 Minister visits North East Business in Cannes.

North East company Get-Me TV launched its innovative G-Cam system at MIPCOM, the major international TV market in Cannes this week. The Minister for Creative Industries, Shaun Woodward visited the Stand in support of this major export initiative.

Get-Me TV, which was started only early this year was a result of collaboration between Broadmedia Technology of North Shields, Codeworks, and entrepreneur Andy Hudson. The system has been on trial with ITV Tyne Tees for the last 2 months.

Managing Director Andy Hudson said “There is considerable interest from all over the world for this product; It means that public access to TV is a reality and drastically lowers the cost for Broadcasters to gather news and local content.

August 2006 GetMeTV 2.0 Released

GetMeTV 2.0 delivers a whole new architecture which allows large numbers of cameras and operators to work together whilst maintaining optimum network usage and broadcast quality.

 

May 2006 GetMeTV Obtains NStar Funding

GetMeTV has obtains proof of concept funding with the help of Codeworks, one of it’s primary investors. This funding has helped us to accelerate product development and support client rollouts. Nstar is an independent early stage technology venturing company based in the North East of England.
